Going into stellar overdrive here at warp factor three to The Galaxy Of Love . . . this kind of OTT science fiction language was very much in vogue during the mid to late 1970s due to the enduring popularity of such television programs as Star Trek and boys-own films like Star Wars. Up market Disco's (and some down market ones too) became increasingly to resemble the interior of a film set style space station, with ergonomic shapes and banks of multicolored lights in all shapes and sizes (for some reason the future was always exemplified by strange, often colored, lighting) though the disco dancers never actually ended up wearing all in one aluminum cat suits. What was to follow this fantasy period in night clubbing, in England at least, was the complete opposite with the warehouse raves, where old, sometimes semi derelict industrial units were taken over for the night and patrons would 'get off their face' in an environment of utilitarian simplicity.
