I MAN A RASTA * FREDDIE McGREGOR * MONEY DISC * JA
"I'm a revolutionist, I man no deal with capitalist, I'm a Rasta man".
Some words of the above which are worth repeating, to give more than an idea where he is coming from, although without the inflect and force of his delivery, not to mention the musical accompaniment, they don't have quite the same resonance. Freddie McGregor's first solo record was After Laughter on Studio 1 in 1966 a decade and many Coxsone Dodd releases later he is making this powerful political statement. Money Disc was the first issue of this cut.
