MOVE OUT A BABYLON * JOHNNIE CLARKE * HARRY J 6706 * UK
This is a call for all Rastafarians to leave Babylon and return to their spiritual home, or as was the case with Johnny Clarke stay in Jamaica. He, like many others, believed that much can be achieved on home soil, and that the particular struggles of a nation, community, class or culture are best settled (as invariable they are) by the people most concerned. Unfortunately the meta narrative now is that of global 'solutions'; which can hardly be expected to take into account national let alone regional or individual needs. So the very concepts of nation and individual have now become bad words and a new long shadow of morality (a power that has replaced the old Christian moral high ground) is implanted in the minds of those with a voice, and the young.
