THINGS A COME TO BUMP * THE BASSIES * STUDIO 1 * JA

Originally issued as originally issued as Things Come To Bump by The Victors on a Coxsone label in 1968 and issued the following year as by The Bassies (same group) who were: Clifford Morrison, Leroy Fischer and Da Da Smith. A great rhythm, led by Leroy 'Horsemouth' Wallace, which  Dick Hebdige claims, in his book Cut 'N' Mix, to be a proto Rockers rhythm.

Things Come To Bump simply means that an issue has reached its climax, and drama is about to unfold, or to put it another way 'all things in the darkness must come to light'. The cut has been versioned and re done many times from Dee Jay Cary 'Wildman' Johnson's More Scorcher to Clarence Parks version for Channel 1.
