TIRED TO LICK WEED IN A BUSH * JACOB MILLER & THE INNER CIRCLE * ARAB * JA


Jacob Miller's date of birth is in question, some sources give it as, May 4, 1952, others 1955, what is certain is the date of  his tragic death in a car accident on the 23 March 1980. He recorded his first record for Coxsone in 1968 titled Love Is A Message, also known as Let Me Love You, after having  no success with his debut he moved away from recording for several years, when he eventually returned 1974 , it was to record with the seminal keyboard and melodica player  Augustus Pablo, for who he cut a total of six tracks, including Each One Teach One, False Rasta, and Baby I Love You So. It was Baby I Love You So that was used to good affect on the King Tubby mixed album King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown, the Rockers being  Augustus Pablo's label. Miller's biggest hits came as a member of Inner Circle, in1976 they enjoyed a couple of roots hits with Tenement Yard and the above Tired Fe Lick Weed In A Bush. Jacob Miller also enjoyed cameo role in the excellent 1979 film, Rockers.
