WAR AND FRICTION * I ROY * CARIBBEAN 305 * UK

This heavy, heavy sound, produced by Bunnie Lee, is a wake up call from I Roy, for folk to stop fighting each other and  fight oppression and power instead. Whatever the nomenclature of those in the service of power in Jamaica, they are bound to share the same nasty characteristics like local councilors and parking fine agents (state sanctioned muggers) in England. Little people like these, who's sense of their own self importance is swelled by the increment of power given to them by their paymasters, are invidious throughout society, making sure that the precepts of power: production, order and control, are maintained. It is easy to see in contrast how the value of just one man like I Roy, and his works, benefits many others, while the nasty doings of any one of societies many wreckers only serves to increase the power their masters and oppress others.
