DREAM LAND DUB * BUNNY WAILER * ISLAND 6347 * GB

Neville O'Reilly Livingstone, a.k.a. Bunny Wailer was raised as as Bob Marley's brother from the age of nine, and was along with Bob, and Peter Tosh one of the founding members of the Wailers. Although he made a crucial contribution to Jamaican music, both with the Wailers and as a solo performer after the groups split in 1974, he none the less has not had such a high public profile as his fellow members of the original band. The last surviving member of the group, Bunny Wailer died in 1997. Below are the lyrics to the vocal side, some of which thread, echo and then fade out through this gorgeous dub.

There's a land that I have heard about
So far across the sea (repeat)
To have you all, my dreamland
Would be like heaven to me (repeat)

We'll get our breakfast from the tree
We'll get our honey from the bees
We'll take a ride on the waterfalls
And all the glories, we'll have them all

And we'll live together on that dreamland
And have so much fun (repeat)
Oh, what a time that will be
Oh yes, we'll wait, wait, wait and see
We'll count the stars up in the sky...

...And surely we'll never die
