Born 1954, St. Andrew, Horace Swaby a.k.a. Augustus Pablo, cut his first record entitled Iggy Iggy for Herman Chin-Loy in 1969. His first hit Java came out on Clive Chin's Impact label, and with a exceptional musical talent it wasn't long before Augustus Pablo was recording and producing for his own Rockers imprint, named after his brother Garth's 'Rockers Sound-System'.
