STAR TREK * 'THE VULCANS' * TROJAN RECORDS 7863 * UK

Produced by Bush Productions (Sinclair/Shrowder/Bryan) to cash in on the popularity of the electric synthesiser, with noises sounding like they are straight out of the BBC Radio phonic Workshop, this is Chalk Farm recording studio engineer Ken Elliot on Moog Synthesizer over a Reggae rhythm. The track is taken from an LP of the same name with all cuts named after various aspects of the popular TV series of the same name,  the original rhythms being from Leslie Kong and Bunnie Lee. 'The Vulcans' as such did not actually exist, again the name is another word borrowed from the TV series; one of its main characters Captain Spock was, ehrm, a 'Vulcan'. Although Star Trek comes with this other none Reggae input it is none-the-less a surprisingly good cut, due in part to the strength of the rhythm track and the fascinating sound of the Moog mixed in.
