Manley Augustus Buchanen a.k.a. Big Youth, was born in February 1955, he got his start toasting with the Lord Tippertone sound system located on Princess Street in Kingston, and eventually held the top DJ spot. His first recording Movie Man, over Errol Dunkley's Movie Star, was produced by Ivan 'Jimmy' Radway for the Fe Me Time label. The above track was produced by Devon Russell, and issued on Big Youth's own Tanasha label , Youth's other labels were, Negusa Negast and Augustus Buchanen.
