Somebody had gone to great lengths to obliterate all relevant information on both sides of this record, fortunately for me, with a strong magnifying glass, I can just about make out enough of the title and artist on the A side to be able to name the track and singer. Even without that reconstructed information I could tell that it was a record associated with Vivian Jackson as it has the name Yabby You scratched in the dead wax, a vital source of information for the record collector. Vivian Jackson is an artist who singularly pursues his own 'inner voice' and, as far as is humanly possible, is un-associated, or possibly indifferent to, with the passing fashions and fads of music or of making a hit record for its own sake, it is because of this and the somewhat timeless nature of deeply spiritual productions it is often difficult to place any particular recording by him in a specific time frame. So from his first self produced and financed (through extreme adversity and personal effort) recordings - Conquering Lion and Love Thy Neighbours in the early 1970s and on throughout the decade his productions were both highly individual and all of one sound.
