Produced by Prince Tony (Robinson) and at his request, Barrington Spence wrote and recorded this adaptation of Junior Byles Curly Locks. The song proved a big success for Spence and was to be the launch of a solo career that had eluded him since the early 1960s appearing on John Vere's Opportunity Hour alongside the likes of Jimmy Cliff. Let Locks Grow was itself Versioned by Big Youth as House Of Dread Locks,  also produced by Prince Tony.
