Rita Anderson, a.k.a. Rita Marley, was born in Cuba and raised in Trenchtown, she was the leader of The Soulettes vocal group who recorded for Coxsone Dodd during the Ska period. She married Bob Marley on Feb 10, 1966, that same year she released a solo recording of Pied Piper for Studio One under her new name, the record became popular with the Skinheads in England when it was released on the Rio label, this Rock Steady cut, also produced at Studio One, was the B side to a Soul Boys instrumental.
