The above record sleeve is Coxsone Dodd's homage to, or rip off, whichever way you choose to see it, of the Motown Corporation's sleeves. Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd, justifiably, compared himself to the black owned American independent label/s, and its owner Berry Gordy Jnr,. There was at least one difference; Berry Gordy, would have insisted, I am sure, that the correct title, and above all the correct artist/s were credited on the record labels, unlike the above travesty, it's no wonder that many Jamaican artists struggled for recognition in England when half the time we were unaware of their actual recordings.

An American Tamla Motown 45 sleeve from the late 1960s.
