I'M CRYING OVER YOU * SIMMS & ROBINSON * WORLDISC * JA
Noel Simms aka Scully, and Arthur "Bunny" Robinson, are the singers on I'm Crying Over You, a fine early Booge beat vocal, cut for Coxsone Dodd. The pair, later to be known as Bunny & Scully, are credited by some as the first to cut R&B influenced records on the Island. Simms, a percussionist and singer, is also credited to be one of the first to use Amharic (a semantic language of Ethiopia) on records such as Golden Pen, which he also cut for Coxsone. It would be futile to try to list all the records a musician like Noel Simms has played on; just to name three bands will give some idea of the scope of his career: The Upsetters, The Aggrovators and The Revolutionaries.
