LIVE AND LEARN * KEN BOOTH * STUDIO ONE 2037 * GB

The label most associated with producer Clement Coxsone Dodd is Studio One, the first British pressing of the label, by the Island/B&C company,  was in 1967. Ken Booth's Feel Good was the first offering at # SO 2000, and the last issue # SO 2086 in late 1969 was Games People Play by Winston Francis. There was one non issue at # 2011,  therefore leaving 172 pure Studio One original cuts to be had, give or take a dozen, max, of duff sides; depending on individual taste, means that this label offers something like one hundred and sixty top sounds to be enjoyed until you die, which might not be that long in coming. The only trouble is they are virtually impossible to find, and when, and IF, you do they could cost an-arm-and-a-leg, just why they are so scarce is something of a mystery given that the music is so good, and, relatively, you would think, was always desirable.
