Jackie Opel had a style all of his own, somewhere between Jamaican Reggae and American Soul, full of anguish and urgency. Wipe Those Tears is just such a record, a slow ballad that starts with as much emotion as some records can only end on, but Jackie was able to maintain that level and sometimes even build on it, great stuff but it can tax the listener.
