I'M INTO SOMETHING GOOD * EARL-JEAN * COLPIX 729 * UK
Former Cookie Earl-Jean McCree, had a shot at a solo career when Gerry Goffin and Carole King wrote this ditty for another of their Colpix artist's but chose it for Earl-Jean's debut release. Although it is a classy record, with a Cookies sound, it only reached the lower regions of the top fifty in the States, the song fared much better when rendered by an artless British Pop band, giving them their first number one and establishing their career; though Earl-Jean only recorded one more solo release Goffin/King after this.
