It was her first Atco release and was part written by her future husband Kenny Gamble; only three more singles and one duet with Ben E. King were released on Atco by her before she married Kenny Gamble and signed to his Gamble label in 1968. Released on Atlantic My Best Friend's Man /Bye Bye baby was the only one of her Atco releases issued in Great Britain (see below).
