Although this record is from the end of the decade it is reminiscent of an earlier period as, on this cut, her style of Soulful singing can, at times, be like that of Linda Jones. This was the first release on the small independent New York based GWP Records label run by Gerard W Purcell, the label ran to about thirty issues and Debbie Taylor had one other release on the label under her own name and one with the The Hesitations. She also had records out on Decca, Grapevine, Arista, Today and Polydor.
