Aretha Franklin's first recording Never Grow Old was for the JVB (Joe Von Battle) label in 1956, she started out singing Gospel, moved to cabaret style jazz and then to Soul. The above B side of Rock-A-Bye Your Baby With A Dixie Melody was her fourth (regular issue) for Columbia # 42157. She stayed with Columbia until 1966, and the first of the songs for Atlantic that brought her name to a wider audience was released in 1967.
