SITTIN' AND DRINKING * CHRISTINE KITTRELL * VEE JAY 399 * USA

Christine Kittrell's first release was Don't Do It for the Tennessee label # 117, her next Sittin' Here Drinking / I Ain't Nothing But A Fool for Tennessee #128 was to launch her on a very successful career. In 1954 while at the height of her career as a Rhythm and Blues singer she quit and returned to Gospel singing. Almost a decade after her first release she cut the self penned Sittin' And Drinking as the B side to Mr. Big Wheel; sadly one of only two releases for the Vee Jay label, after which she recorded for Federal and King.
