First released on Swan 4162 Who Do You Love - not the same as Bo Diddley's - is an early song from the pen of Kenny Gamble, which managed to reach number twenty five on Billboards Hot 100 chart. The Sapphires were from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and although the group are often cited as a 'girl group' they were in fact a trio of two males and one female: Carol Jackson, Joe Livingston And George Garner. The group had a total of four 45s released on Swan - Who Do You Love is their second - before moving to ABC-Paramount late in 1964.
