MY KIND OF LOVE * DANDY AND HIS GROUP * GIANT 10 * UK
Generally speaking, in the early days, it was always going to be difficult to recruit musicians of the caliber of Jamaican musicians, or musicians who could play the authentic Jamaican style, in England. To be able to compete with the likes of Roland Al, Jackie Mittoo, Bobby Ellis, Brevett, Wallace, Knibs, da, da, da, the list is enormous, but they all stayed in Jamaica, yet on some of his recordings Dandy Livingstone managed to equal the quality of music produced in Jamaica, the above instrumental does just that and could believably have Jamaican credentials on the label.
