There was a time when I wouldn't have given this record shelf space let alone a double cover (my crude grading system) but now days . . . An easily overlooked goodie this record is proof, not that proof is needed, as to the scope and versatility of producer Lee Perry, that, while cutting heavy political, spiritual Rastafarian and eccentric Dub's, he can produce what is a basically a sugary Disco recording with added spice and a solid rhythm. Like all great artists, whatever their genre, arbitrary categories and fashions mean little or nothing, to Lee Perry it's all noise, in his endeavor to make, for want of a better word, music.
