I'm not sure of the status of this pressing, it dates from around 1959 that I'm sure, but whether it is a bootleg pressing or if it was an official release. Was Tropical some kind of boot label? I don't know. What is odd is the fact that it has a solid centre, and for a Jamaican pressing this is unusual, but not unknown, in fact all the 78s had this kind of centre. Musically though it's a good 'un, Frankie Ford sings very much in an R&B vein with a top rate backing from Huey Piano Smith and Orch! err, don't they mean: Clowns.
