Recorded live at The International hotel in Las Vegas, this incredible version of his 1960 hit not only gives a fascinating insight into Elvis Presley's sense of humor, but also his attitude to his own musical history and the idea he had of himself as a recording artist. On the record the band and the backing singers, The Sweet Inspirations, led by Cissy Houston, stick to the script while Elvis breaks down in fits of uncontrollable laughter and is unable to string a line of song together, the contrast between these two aspects create a surreal situation, considering the artist, yet make it a most 'real' recording, because it is just the sort of thing that can happen to ordinary folk who are not world famous singers in a Las Vegas show.
