BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ * HOLLYWOOD FLAMES * EBB 119 * USA

The group went through seven different name changes and recorded for 19 different record labels in a career that lasted from 1950 to 1966. The above was the second time the group had used the moniker Hollywood Flames, they had previously recorded under that name in 1954. Buzz Buzz Buzz was the groups first release on Leonora Rupe's LA independent Ebb label, and was to be the name they stuck with until they disbanded some nine years later. The song was written, it is said, in 15 minuets by founding member Robert 'Bobby' Byrd, the lead vocals were by Earl Nelson, and it was recorded while the group were still known as The Satellites.
