DANCE TO THE BOP * GENE VINCENT * CAPITOL 985 * UK

Issued in 1958 this was Gene Vincent's first UK EP, the tracks of which were taken from - what would have been then - an aggressive sounding film: Hot Rod Gang.  The film is however not half as threatening as the title, although it features all you'd expect from a Rock and Roll film of it's time: Hot rods, cops, juke joints, fist fights and sexy young girls; it is also said that Eddie Cochran puts in an apprentice.

Originally released in the US on Capitol F3839, in October 1957, it was released in the UK as a 45 and 78 RPM single play in November 1957.
