Piano player, vocalist and hard drinker, Roy Hall was born on May 7, 1922, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, and cut his first record in 1949. He cut some fine Rockabilly records during the early to mid 1950s, and co wrote (under the pseudonym of Sunny David) Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On  one of the most well known Rock And Roll records of the time. Three Alley Cats, a precursor to the Coasters Three Cool Cats, is the B side to the rockin' Diggin The Boogie, and was the third and last of three records he had released in the UK, all in both 45 and 78 RPM formats.
