SLACK
Slack is a type of sexually suggestive song that ranges from the downright indecent and liable to shock to slightly indecent and or tongue-in-cheek humorous. Known elsewhere as risqué songs the genus is well represented in Reggae music at least from the 1950s through to today. Below is examples of the genre with marks from one to ten (IMO) on their level of indecency; 10 being so gross it needs to be followed by a dose of mind bleach!
Many early releases of Slack songs were first pressed up in the UK as blanks this anonymity added to their appeal as illicit or contraband material, and sold for considerably higher price than a regular pressing would have been. An example of this practice can be seen with the Blank of Exposure, with 'Pussy' hand written on the label below, this is a first pressing of Bullet 434, that was originally intended to be released on Bullet 435 as it has the number 435 scratched in the run off (incidentally this is before the number was scratched out on latter pressings).
