Roscoe Robinson began his recording career in 1950 with The Southern Sons Quartet a Gospel group recording for the Trumpet label in Jackson, Mississippi. His first solo record was another Gospel song released on Constellation in 1963, his first secular cut was for Tuff that same year, followed by the mighty That's Enough originally released on Gerri, subsequently picked up and reissued on Wand. The third of only four for the label the self penned ballad A Thousand Rivers was issued as the B side of What You're Doin' To Me.
