FIND ANOTHER GIRL * JERRY BUTLER * VEE JAY 375 * USA

Written by Jerry Butler and Curtis Mayfield this was his third release for Vee Jay. The writer Robert Pruter tells how Jerry Butler's first song A Sinner In Love was recorded by The Serenades, who had changed their name from The Quails, a group Butler had helped to form. When the song came out on Chief 7002 in 1957, Butler recognized it as his own but the credits on the record were given to members of the group. Jerry Butler can be heard hosting the excellent National Public Radio series of programs on the history of post Second World War Afro American music.
