DRIP-DROP * THE DRIFTERS * LONDON 8686 * UK

From the last recording session of the pre Crowns, Drifters; there were only three songs from this session Drip Drop, Suddenly There's A Valley and Moonlight Bay - which was issued as the flip of the above and dose not really count as the vocals are by the Ray Ellis Singers and not The Drifters. Bobby Hendricks is the lead tenor, with Gerhart Thrasher, Charlie Hughes and Bill Pinkey, Drip-Drop was the last release from them as The Drifters, very much a Rhythm and Blues record it marks the end of an era, the next record by The Drifters, There Goes My Baby was to have a very different sound altogether.
