Shortly after their time at Aladdin, where they released something like seventeen singles, The Five Keys signed for Capitol. The groups first release on on the label was Ling, Ting, Tong which was also released in Great Britain as a 78 RPM only. The follow up in the US was Close Your Eyes but in the UK this was their third release and The Verdict was the second, and the first on the new 45 RPM format.
