Cecil Bustamante Campbell, a.k.a. Prince Buster was born May 1938, Kingston, he was named after Alexandra Bustamante, leader of the Jamaican Labour Party, and began his career as a boxer. With his talents in the fight department he moved onto working as a bouncer/minder at Coxsone Dodd's record hops. While working for Dodd he got involved in many aspects of the music business, after which he graduated to having his own 'Voice of the People' sound system, 'Buster's Record Shack' shop, and the: Wild Bells, Voice of the People, Busters Record Shack, record labels. The above is the B side of Eric Morris's smash hit Humpty Dumpty and was from the very first recording session of the young fledgling producer, a session which also included Carolina, and is the very first issue on the Wild Bells label.
