Although the label was called Duke, implying it was connected with Duke Reid, in fact only the first two issues on the label were from him. After which he became just another producer using the label, and it wasn't until issue #38 that one of his productions appeared again. The above is a Harry J (Johnson) production, issued before the Harry J imprint was established in the UK as an outlet for his productions.
