REGGAE IN THE GRASS * ROLAND ALPHONSO * COXSONE 7077 * UK

A key record in understanding the transition from Rock Steady to Reggae, this instrumental was cut in 1968 when the Rock Steady rhythm was still going strong. On the Jamaican original the spelling of the term Reggae had yet to be formalized, and as can be seen here by the time it was issued in the UK it had developed into the spelling know today.
