ROBERTA * FRANKIE FORD WITH HUEY 'PIANO' SMITH AND HIS ORCHESTRA * LONDON 1516 * A

There were two versions of this song, one by Huey Smith where he used the name 'Loberta' and the above, in Donald Mabry's interview with proprietor of Ace records, Johnny Vincent states that he went with Roberta because "was an easier way to say it and Loberta was kind of [black sounding] and we were trying to git the white crowd." Seen here on an Australian 'Gold' London issue, Roberta is a fantastic slice of hard driving and raucous Louisiana Rock & Roll, and has Huey Smith to boot; still, I'd like to hear the Loberta version.
