BLIND MAN * LITTLE MILTON * CHECKER 1096 * USA
By the age of thirteen Little Milton Campbell was playing his guitar in Juke Joint's and clubs around the Mississippi Delta where he was born. His first recording break came in the early 1950s after Ike Turner had introduced him to Sam Phillips of Sun records where he recorded Beggin' My Baby as his debut single. He signed for Chess in 1961 where he cut such outstanding tracks as the powerful: Were Gonna' Make It, Who's Cheating Who and the above scorcher Blind Man. These records are pure 'big man music' that have not diminished in passion, energy and Soul since he recorded them.
