I WISH I COULD DANCE * JIMMY SOUL * 20TH CENTURY * USA

While Jimmy Soul was most successful with his novelty Popish cuts but none the less he made some fine Soul records in his all to brief life.

I Wish I Could Dance, with it's out-of-sync echo double tracking on Jimmy's voice sounds like it might have been an attempt at another novelty dance cut, but, weather by design or not it has a unique and satisfying sound, the sound that many of the best off-the-wall Soul records had during  this period.
