More 'big man' music from Solomon Burke, this one has his name on the writers credits and from the power of the emotional expression in his voice it sounds like he wrote it on or after first hand experience. It was convincing emotionally rendered singing on records like this that helped define the concept of Soul in the minds of many, especially the Mods in Great Britain that were culturally and socially tuned to the concepts and sentiments expressed in these songs that were often born out of a particular struggle found in similar sets of social relations themselves.
