WHAT YOU GONNA' DO * BOBBY WOMACK * MINIT 11005 * UK
The British Minit label was launched in February 1968 with another Bobby Womack cut Broadway Talk as # 1101. The imprint was the equivalent of the Los Angeles Minit label, owned by Jack Ames and Al Benett and distributed by Liberty, which ran from 1966 to 1971. Previous records from the American label had been issued in the UK on the Liberty label. The above scorcher is very similar in essence to Down Pressure and it is not unlikely that Peter Tosh would have been aware of this track.
