Written and first recorded by Barbara Lewis, the singing is not so intimate in the hands of the Capitols but they certainly do such a poignant song justice. Because of the success of the A side of this release the Capitols unfortunately pursued and became known as a dance record outfit, consequently their talents on ballads like this were not fully realized.
