THINK OF ME * THE AD LIBS * ACETATE * UK
Judging by the existence of this, original 1960s (Telephone All Figure Numbering [AFN] was introduced in 1966) British acetate, it looks like this recording, by the consistently excellent New Jersey group The Ad Libs, was due to be released in the UK, which would have added to the paucity of releases that were on offer to Soul music fans in the 1960s.
Originally released on Karen 1527 in the US backed with Every Boy And Girl, it was the groups first release after leaving Blue Cat. They only had this one record a fine up-tempo dancer with male vocal lead, released on the Karen label.
