Written by lead singer Rondalis Tandy this was The Van Dykes fourth of only six singles, it is a didactic ballad which, like some Impressions recordings, seeks to give advice and guidance to the listener. The song balances hard to swallow home-truths, with supportive encouragement, flawed only by the opinion that a mythical other worldly agency will at some point intervene positivly in the struggle to achieve ones goal or dreams.
