IS IT REAL * BOBBY "BLUE" BLAND AND HIS BAND * DUKE 310 * USA

The last release to feature Bobby Bland's "Blue" epithet, he would hence forth, on Duke records at least, be known as just Bobby Bland. This cut has a complex polyphonic sound, with a very muted Spanish guitar opening, bongos playing a Cha Cha beat, flutes riding above the rhythmic guitars and two layers of backing vocals: one male group supplying a DooWop type boom-de-boom base sound and another female group chanting in a call and answer refrain.
