Soul Serenade, a mellow Soul instrumental, was probably trumpet player and producer Willie Mitchell's biggest hit, though the track was, at the time, often more associated with King Curtis. Mitchell's first job in the record industry was as a producer at Rubin Cherry's Home Of The Blues record company in Memphis where he also cut his earliest records.
