HEARTS OF STONE * THE CHARMS * DE LUXE 6062 * USA

There were two De Luxe labels, the first was owned by the Braun's, David and Jules, and ran from 1945 to 1949, at 1130 St George Ave,. Linden, New Jersey. The second was owned by Sydney Nathan and operated from 1540 Brewster Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio: it ran from 1950 to 1952, then after a short lapse it was started up again by Nathan with a new partner Henry Stone, who brought the masters to his Rockin' label to the table, the first release on the new 6000 series was The Charms Heaven Only Knows which had already been released on Rockin' 516. Hearts Of Stone, a cover version of The Jewels original, was the groups sixth release on the new label. It was also issue in the UK, probably as a boot hence the misleading artists credits, in the 1960s on the Rymska label; an imprint more associated with Jamaican music.
