Wonderful Girl was the follow up to the groups magnificent In The Still Of The Night and although it was released in the US towards the end of 1956 it wasn't issued in the UK until 1959. Jay Warner tells us in his excellent American Singing Groups book how, on this track, the bass player showed up to the recording with the wrong instrument and instead of his double bass he's plucking a cello!
